Born in 1982, Pulkit Sharma is a renowned clinical psychologist, writer, life coach and spiritual counsellor in Pondicherry (Puducherry). He integrates the richness of ancient spiritual perspectives and contemporary psychology to help people reclaim their lives. He has worked with a wide spectrum of clients from India and abroad including spiritual seekers, celebrities, diplomats, bureaucrats, artists, teachers, doctors, corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, students, homemakers, trauma victims and psychiatric patients.

Pulkit worked as a senior consultant at Zyego (2015-2016) to develop India?s first app-based mobile counselling service. He supervised the work of a team consisting of clinical and counselling psychologists and devised the standard therapy format for various disorders. He also worked as a clinical psychologist and teaching faculty at Vimhans (2009-2013). During this period, he diagnosed and treated children, adolescents and adults suffering from various psychological disorders. He opened the psychoanalytic and personality disorders unit at the hospital and offered training in the psychodynamic approach. He supervised postgraduate students of psychiatry and clinical psychology in their clinical work, community outreach programs and research.
He served as a senior program executive at Swanchetan Society for Mental Health, Delhi (2008-2009). At Swanchetan, he empowered the victims of terrorist attacks, ethnic violence, marital discord, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence to bounce back to life. He led a research project that studied the psychological distress of Delhi and Jaipur bomb blast victims and was part of a team that conducted forensic psychological evaluations at the request of the police.
Since early childhood, Pulkit had questions about the meaning and purpose of human existence. As he grew up, these concerns motivated him to begin his spiritual journey. Pulkit had a spiritual awakening in 2005 and since then he has practised different systems of spirituality. He is well-versed with the spiritual essence, traditions and texts of some major religions of the world including Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Taoism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Islam and Bahá'i Faith.
